A few months later, Lord Vishnu takes birth as "VAMAN", the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu as a Brahmin child. His birth is rejoiced by all the Gods in heaven and they give their special powers to Vaman. He goes to Bali's Ashwamedha Yagna and demands from him "Three Steps of Earth'. Bali agrees and as soon as he starts pouring the water from the sacred pot, an annoyed Guru Shukracharya refrains Bali from doing so. Bali takes a small form, inserts himself in the pipe by straw. In the process Shukracharya's left eye is pierced and he becomes "One eyed''. An annoyed Shukracharya curses Bali to be doomed.
